Wednesday
Wednesday, at least I think it’s Wednesday, All is still going well. Our Kids had a great day with a lot of things to share. Durring the morning and afternoon REs we had kids accept Jesus as thier savior. They have been hot, tired, sweaty but have not wanted to stop. They are doing great. Pleas continue to pray as the temperature is high and the concrete seems to make it worse.
Some thoughts as I close out the day. Actually I’m far from closing the day since it is only 9:30. I figure I still have three hours or so before all is still. I have seen our kids love other kids of which they little in common. I have seen our boys and girls sit with children on their laps and run with them on their shoulders. I have seen them connect with them in ways that only God could do. I have seen youth from all over our nation come together for the purpose of sharing Jesus with this city. I have seen some of youth show leadership skills that I’m sure they will develop as time goes on. I have seen children bring gifts to our youth and I know these kids don’t have much to give. I have seen my own eyes opened once again to the variety of opportunity to share if we are willing to go outside our comfort box. I will share more when I get home.
As for our youth we are all pretty healthy. Ther have been some with a few symptoms from the heat but nothing very serious. The group from Neosho has one who is pretty sick so please keep her in your prayers. They have been getting eight hours of sleep. It just not all in the same night. They don’t seem to mind but I have been having visions of our bed, our shower and a full nights sleep. I’m not sure how spiritual it is, but that’s how it goes.
Well, I need to go for now.
Again, keep praying for more children to come to the Jesus, safety for our travels, health, open showers and bed by midnight.

Monday
Monday evening and all is well. Today we started at the meeting place for worship and instruction. Our group went to four locations today. All in all we ministered to around 100 kids. Our kids are doing well and have been learning a lot. Please pray for them since all of our activities are outside and the temperature is around 100. It is really hot. We have been busy all day but we did have time to go to the church with the showers before dinner. YEA!!!!! Some of the guys were in great need of a shower.
We have been going to apratment complexes, knocking on doors and asking the children to come to RE. They knew about it but many don’t have parents at home and we need to remind them. They are telling Bible stories, singing songs about Jesus, doing pupets, playing games and giving out treats. Sounds a lot like VBS. They are doing well and we have three more days of RE.
After the afternoon RE we went to church that has the shower. YEA!!!!!
We have all had a nice relaxing dinner at the church we are staying at and our kids are now upstairs doing Bible Study, worship and preparing for tomorrow. After today they now know where they need to improve.
I guess that’s about it for today. It has been a good start with no major problems.
Just for the record I got to sleep early last night. Wait a minute, it was early this morning at around 1:30 or 2:00 AM. I did get my 7 hours of sleep in if you count the last two nights. I am still praying for midnight and would apreciate your prayers in this area as well. After a while everyone looks the same and I am limited to short answers to easy questions. Thought about renting a hotel room but thought someone may notice.
Take care and keep us in your prayers.

Sunday
Everyhthing still going well. Our day started out at 6:30, 5:30 for me since I wanted to beat everyone to the two sinks that we use to wash up in the morning. We all made it to Mission Arlington, (MA) with no problems. We went to three different locations for ‘church’, in apartment complexes. Our kids did everything from sing with the churches, lead Bible Study with children and youth to prayer walk through the sites. We got back to MA in time for lunch and had a wonderful time. WE TOOK SHOWERS!!!!! After the showers we went and passed out flyers for the Rainbow Express in three different locations. This took us to around 3:00 so I took the people in my car to McDonalds for a small ice cream cone. I bought everyone a cone for $.39 each. What a deal. At 3:45 we met in a large room, all the groups that are here, for meditation, Bible reading, worship, testimonies and some instruction.
We then went to the ball game and watched the rangers get beat by the Royals. We got back about 10:30 to 11:00. Dave had a group time with the kids. Logan did the Bible Study and they all shared what was the most signifacant thing they learned or did. All said it was going to the sites for church in the morning. We had some last minute instructions and the kids finally went to bed about 1:30 AM. That’s right, 1:30 AM. I think I am looking for another room tonight. I am hoping to get to bed by midnight tonight. I guess time will tell.
Our day will be busy with little free time so keep us in your prayers.

Tuesday
Tuesday and all is still well.
It has been another event filled day and last night.
Let me start with last night.
Our kids went over the days events, prepared for today and then made some things for crafts. As I hope you got yesterday I was praying for a midnight bed time and almost made it. It was about 12:30 when we got to sleep.
Today was a great day. It started out at about 6:00 AM and we got to the sinks, ate breakfast and went to the center. We has a worship time and then went to the apartments. One of our girls in the morning had the opportunity to lead a child to Jesus! It was a great event for the group and especially for the new christian. We came back to our church and had lunch. Went again to the center and had another time of worship. Durring the afternoon times the other group had another child accept christ. I will let the youth tell the story! It also was a great time.
We got to showers about 5:30 to 6:00 this afternoon. All felt and smelt better after that.
Now our kids are upstairs in the church preparing for the next day. They were going over the songs and it sounder like the floor was coming down. They are doing a great job and everyone needs to be proud.
Well, I need to close this for now.
Keep praying for us and we will see you in a few days. The floor seems to be getting softer or I am getting more tired. I am praying for midnight again this evening and hope it will happen.
