Friday – Home Again!

Friday-HOME AGAIN!!!

Hey everyone, it’s Autumn again today. WE’RE HOME!!! We were up bright and early this morning. We left at 6:06 (only 6 minutes late!) We drove for a couple hours before stopping at a Burger King for some breakfast. Then, we drove some more and stopped at McDonalds outside of Memphis for lunch. After driving some more, we had a nice picnic dinner in Mammoth Springs, AR by a river. We rolled into the church parking lot at about 8:30. The drive was fairly easy, and I’m thankful for all of our great drivers. I think that most of us took at least a short nap, so that was nice. God has been very good to our group this week. We couldn’t have asked for a kinder, more hospitable family. The hard work and sweat were well worth watching Robin, Karen, and Louis’s (Karen’s dad) faces when they saw everything that had been done. Your prayers made the difference this week. It was God who brought us together with this wonderful family and God who protected us while we worked. We were truly blessed. Once again, thank you for all your prayers, and be sure to continue to pray for Robin and Karen and all of the people in New Orleans. Recovering from this will be no small task. Most of the people feel like they have been forgotten, since there’s hardly anymore news coverage about New Orleans. So be sure and remember them in your prayers, because that makes a huge difference. Everyone we encountered this week in New Orleans was incredibly appreciative of our group being there. They didn’t care that we weren’t working on their house, they were just glad that we came. I could talk all night, but I’m tired, so I’m going to sign off. God is good!!!
